PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES Polyamidine Super has a broad-spectrum antiprotozoal effect and is active against the causative agents of babesiosis, piroplasmosis, franccellosis, trypanosomosis, theileriosis and nuttalliosis, which are parasitic animals. The mechanism of action of diminazen diaceturate, which is part of the drug, is based on the inhibition of aerobic glycolysis and DNA synthesis in blood parasites, which leads to the destruction of their cell structure and death. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE This drug is prescribed for the preventive and therapeutic treatment of trypanosomosis, piroplasmosis, babesiosis, franccellosis, nuttaliosis, theileriosis and mixed infestations in cattle, horses, sheep and dogs. DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION Polyamidine Super is administered to animals intramuscularly once, at a dose of 1 ml per 20 kg of body weight. If the initial administration does not lower the animal's temperature or improve its general condition, Polyamidine Super can be given again at the same dose after 24 hours. For prophylactic purposes, if one or more animals with clinical disease symptoms are detected in the herd, or after the animals are moved to an unfavorable area for parasitic blood diseases, Polyamidine Super is administered once in a therapeutic dose; if necessary, the injection can be repeated in the same dose after 10-15 days.
