Primuzol is a combined antimicrobial preparation for treating respiratory, gastrointestinal and urogenital diseases in young farm animals. Available as a granulated powder, white to greyish-white. The synergistic combination of sulfametazine and trimethoprim provides broad-spectrum activity against gram-negative (Pasteurella, E.coli, Salmonella, Haemophilus, Actinobacillus, Brucella) and gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Listeria, Erysipelothrix), as well as mycoplasmas, chlamydiae and Eimeria.

Orally, mixed with feed or dissolved in water: • Cattle, small ruminants and rabbits: 1 g per 10 kg body weight, with feed or water, for 5–7 days. • Poultry: 1.5 kg per 1000 kg feed or 1 kg per 1000 L water, for 3–5 days. Poultry must receive only medicated water during treatment. Group method: as 1.5% premix (1.5 kg per tonne of feed), for 5–7 days. Preparation mixed with feed retains activity for 2 months. Prepared solution must be used within 48 h.
