Administered intramuscularly, subcutaneously, intravenously or intraperitoneally. Average dose: 10–20 mg/kg body weight. IM/SC: • Cattle: 20–40 ml/head • Horses: 20–60 ml/head • Small ruminants & pigs: 2–10 ml/head • Dogs: 1–5 ml/head • Cats: 0.5–2 ml/head IV (slow): • Cattle & horses: 10–20 ml/head • Small ruminants: 5 ml/head • Dogs: 1–5 ml/head • Cats: 0.5–2 ml/head
Do not use with phenothiazines (acepromazine), barbiturates (thiopental sodium, hexenal) or phenylbutazone (butadione). Contraindicated in bronchospasm, hematopoietic disorders, pregnancy, liver and kidney diseases. Do not use in horses within 5 days before equestrian events or physical exertion.
