Glauber's Salt

Other Products

Composition

Natriy sulfat (Na₂SO₄·10H₂O)

Description

Glauber's salt (sodium sulfate) is poorly absorbed in the intestine and retains water from absorption. In small doses it improves digestion, stimulates secretion and peristalsis, and thins mucus. In large doses it acts as a laxative throughout the entire intestine. Stimulates bile formation and bile duct peristalsis. Externally, hypertonic solutions draw fluid from tissues, removing toxins, bacteria and shed epithelium — wounds heal rapidly.
