Description
Calcium Chloride 10% injection solution belongs to the macro- and microelement pharmacotherapeutic group. It activates the reticuloendothelial system and phagocytic function of leukocytes, increases sympathetic nervous system tone, stimulates adrenaline release, reduces vascular permeability, exerts anti-inflammatory action and prevents oedema. Calcium ions are essential for nerve impulse transmission, muscle contraction, bone tissue formation and blood clotting.

Indications
Pneumonia, pleuritis, peritonitis, toxic liver damage, parenchymal hepatitis, nephritis, radiation sickness, pulmonary and laryngeal oedema, oedema disease in piglets. Bleeding (uterine, gastrointestinal, pulmonary, post-operative). Allergic diseases and drug-related allergic complications. Obstetric/gynaecological: endometritis, metritis, labour stimulation, placenta retention, parturient paresis, post-partum haematuria in cows. Forestomach hypotonia and atonia, haemorrhagic gastroenteritis, tetany in young animals. Vegetative neuroses, eclampsia in dogs, acetonaemia in cows, paralytic myoglobinuria in horses. Poisoning with magnesium salts, oxalic acid and its salts, sodium chloride.
Usage
Administer intravenously only, slowly. Do not inject subcutaneously or intramuscularly (strongly irritating and necrotizing). Single doses: • Cattle: 150–400 ml • Horses: 100–300 ml • Small ruminants: 10–30 ml • Dogs: 5–15 ml Doses and duration are determined by the veterinarian based on body weight and disease progression.

Contraindications
Contraindicated in hypercalcaemia and tendency to thrombosis. Do not mix with other drugs in the same syringe. Incompatible with tetracycline preparations. If accidentally injected subcutaneously, immediately inject a large volume of isotonic NaCl 0.9% around the injection site.
