Streptomitsin 20 mg/ml, Benzilpenitsilli 20 000 ME/ml, Sulfadimezin 70 mg/ml

Description

Mastistop has a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative organisms (staphylococci, streptococci, Proteus, E. coli, Salmonella, mycoplasmas, etc.). The antimicrobial components exert a synergistic effect. Has significant anti-inflammatory and wound-healing activity. At recommended doses, no sensitizing, local irritant, embryotoxic, teratogenic or mutagenic effects. Eliminated in milk.

Indications

Various forms of udder inflammation (mastitis): serous, catarrhal, purulent-catarrhal mastitis and other forms. Traumatic injuries to udder skin and teats.

Usage

Before use, milk from the affected quarter is stripped and discarded; teat is disinfected. Warm the vial contents to 36–39°C and shake thoroughly to obtain a uniform suspension. Draw 5–20 ml into a sterile syringe, press the cannula firmly against the teat canal opening and carefully inject into the udder cistern. After injection, gently massage the affected teat from bottom to top. Depending on severity: 5–20 ml every 24 hours for 5–8 days; purulent mastitis up to 10 days. For traumatic injuries: apply to the affected surface.
